Synopsis:
After a 20 year absence, drifter, George Walker returns home. As if awakening from a long dream, he finds the house where he had spent his childhood summers, condemned and slated for demolition. George's ambitious decision to save the house he has inherited, brings misfortune when a bizarre accident causes him to fall and strike his head. The blow triggers something within George, and he becomes plagued by vivid nightmares, which depict the murder of a young woman in the woods by a strange hooded figure.
While George recovers from his head trauma, a neighbor named Julian, who is obsessed with the house’s haunted past, befriends him. With the hope of making life easier for himself, George enlists Julian's help. Together they begin to clear the debris and attempt to remove the dark water from the house's flooded basement. However, life does not get easier for George. With his head throbbing and the nightmares worsening, George becomes more and more helpless. As he tries to make sense of the images that haunt him, he begins to think they hold some meaning or hidden message. When George digs deeper, his nightmares begin to cross over into his reality, and he becomes convinced that someone or something is trying to kill him.
